*compd respects the privacy of its users and has developed this Privacy Policy to demonstrate its commitment to protecting your privacy.  The Privacy Policy is intended to disclose to you how we may collect, use and share your information.

 

In General.  We receive different types of information from you when you register for, or use, the Service, some of which could be used to identify a person, (such information may include full name, mailing address, email address, telephone number), and, if your transact business with us, financial information such as your payment method (valid credit card number, type, expiration date or other financial information; collectively, “Personal Data”) and some of which does not identify a person (“Non-Personal Data”).  We also may request Non-Personal Data about your interests and activities, your gender, your location (such as ZIP code and/or country), and other demographic or profile information and we may ask you to complete a survey or send us a review.  Sometimes we collect Personal Data and Non-Personal Data on our own behalf, and sometimes we may collect this information to make it available to third parties, such as Associated Parties (our clients, vendors and partners).

 

Information from Third Parties.  We may periodically obtain both Personal Data and Non-Personal Data about you from other third parties, such as our Associated Parties.  Examples of information that we may receive include but are not limited to, address information, purchase history, and additional demographic information.

 

Information from Browser and Cookies.  We automatically receive information from the browser of the computer or device from which you visit or use the Service.  This information may include (without limitation) your IP address, your browser type and language, access times, the content of any undeleted cookies that your browser previously accepted from us, and the referring website address.  When you visit the Service, we may assign the browser from which you access our Service one or more cookies or similar technologies to facilitate access to the Service and to personalize your online experience.  We may also use web beacons or other technologies to track your usage. Through the use of cookies, web beacons or similar technology, we may automatically collect information about your online activity on the Service, such as the web pages you visit, the links you click, and the searches you conduct on the Service. Most browsers automatically accept cookies, web beacons and the like, but you can usually modify your browser setting to decline cookies or decide which types of cookies to automatically accept or reject.  If you choose to decline cookies or other similar technologies, your use and ease of using the Service may be impacted.  Similarly, if you choose to turn off identifiers for advertising or locational tracking on your mobile device, you may not be able to use some of the features offered through the Service.  However, if you leave these on, your mobile device may automatically transmit information (such as identifiers for advertising and geographic or geolocation information) to us when you are within a certain geographic radius of a place where a program, promotion or discount offered is taking place. 

 

Use of Your Personal Data For Providing Services and Responses.  If you provide Personal Data for a certain purpose, we may use the Personal Data in connection with the purpose for which it was provided.  For instance, if you contact us by email, we will use the Personal Data you provide to answer your question or resolve your problem and will respond to the email address from which the contact came.  If you provide Personal Data in order to obtain access to or use of the Service or any functionality thereof or to participate in a program, promotion or discount, we will use your Personal Data to provide you with access to or use of the Service or functionality, to analyze your use of the Service or functionality, and to enable you to participate in the program, promotion of discount.  By way of example, sometimes this means that we may provide your Personal Data to the Associated Party providing or facilitating the program, promotion or discount.

 

Internal Business Purposes.  We may use your Personal Data for internal business purposes, including without limitation, to help us improve the content and functionality of the Service, to better understand our users, to improve the Service, to protect against, identify or address wrongdoing, to enforce the Terms and Conditions, for quality control, and provide you with customer service, and to manage our business.

 

Marketing Communications.  Where it is in accordance with your marketing preferences and permitted by laws applicable to us, we may use your Personal Data to contact you in the future for marketing and advertising purposes, including without limitation, to inform you about services or events we believe might be of interest to you, to develop promotional or marketing materials and provide those materials to you, and to display content and advertising on or off the Service that we believe might be of interest to you.  See “Opt Out from Electronic Communications” below on how to opt out of Marketing Communications.

 

Use of Information for Research.  We may conduct research on our user demographics, interests and behavior based on Personal Data and other information that we have collected.  This research is typically conducted on an aggregate basis only that does not identify you.  Once Personal Data is in an aggregated form, for purposes of this Privacy Policy, it becomes Non-Personal Data.

 

Providing Information to Third Parties.  We want you to understand when and with whom we may share Personal Data or other information you have provided to us or that we have collected about you or your activities on the Service.

 

●        Service providers.  We may share information with our Associated Parties, including, but not limited to, vendors such as authorized service providers.  We may share your Personal Data and Non-Personal Data with our authorized service providers that perform certain services on our behalf.  These services may include, but are not limited to, fulfilling orders, processing credit card payments, providing customer service and marketing assistance, performing business and sales analysis, supporting the functionality and data and technology infrastructure of the Service, and supporting features offered through the Service.  These service providers may have access to Personal Data needed to perform their functions but are not permitted to share or use such information for any other purposes.

 

●        Clients and other business partners.  We may share personal information and non-personal information with Associated Parties, such as our clients and the businesses with which we partner.  When you elect to engage in a particular business’ program, promotion or discount, you authorize us to provide your email address and other information to that business.  We may also share information (including personal information) about you to other Associated Parties for targeted advertising, research, licensing and/or marketing purposes, based on your elected marketing preferences.  In addition, based on your elected marketing preferences, we may allow our Associated Parties to provide information to you about their products and services.  If you wish to participate in programs, promotions, and discounts offered by our Associated Parties, you may be required to provide Personal Data however, see “Opt Out from Electronic Communications” below on how to opt out of receiving ongoing initiated communications from our Associated Parties.

 

●        Aggregated and non-personal de-identified information.  We may share Non-Personal Data, aggregated information that has been de-identified or been converted to an anonymized string of characters in an effort to prevent third parties from unscrambling the anonymized string of characters to recover the underlying information.  We may combine Non-Personal Data and/or anonymized information we collect with additional information collected from other sources.  We may combine Non-Personal Data and/or anonymized information with other information collected about a user and share such with third parties for their or their partners’ advertising and/or marketing purposes.  We also may share aggregated and/or Non-Personal Data and/or anonymized information with third parties, including (without limitation) advisors, advertisers and investors.

 

We also may disclose your information:

 

●        In response to a subpoena or similar investigative demand, a court order, or a request for cooperation from a law enforcement or other government agency; to establish or exercise our legal rights; to defend against legal claims; or as otherwise required by law. In such cases, we may raise or waive any legal objection or right available to us.

 

●        When we believe disclosure is appropriate in connection with efforts to investigate, prevent, or take other action regarding illegal activity, suspected fraud or other wrongdoing; to protect and defend the rights, property or safety of our company, our users, our employees, or others, including, but not limited to, Associated Parties; to comply with applicable law or cooperate with law enforcement; or to enforce our Terms and Conditions or other agreements or policies.

 

●        In connection with a corporate transaction, such as the sale of our business, a divestiture, merger, consolidation, or asset sale, or in the event of bankruptcy.

 

Important.  Any third parties to whom we may disclose personal information may have their own privacy policies which describe how they use and disclose personal information. Those policies will govern use, handling and disclosure of your Personal Data once we have shared it with those third parties as described in our Privacy Policy. Please note that these entities or their servers may be located either inside or outside the United States.

 

Third-party websites.  Through the Service, you may be given an opportunity to access other third-party websites that do not operate under our Privacy Policy.  For example, these third-party websites may independently solicit and collect information, including personal information, from you we are not responsible for the practices of these third parties, and we recommend that you consult the privacy statements of all third-party websites you visit to review how they use information collected from you.

Do Not Track Disclosures.  Various third parties are developing or have developed signals or other mechanisms for the expression of consumer choice regarding the collection of information about an individual consumer’s online activities over time and across third-party websites or online services (e.g., browser do not track signals). Currently, we do not monitor or take any action with respect to these signals or other mechanisms.

 

How we protect your personal information.  We take reasonable security measures (including physical, electronic and procedural measures) intended to help safeguard your Personal Data from unauthorized access and disclosure.  However, no system can be completely secure. Therefore, although we take reasonably industry-standard steps designed to secure your information, we do not promise, and you should not expect, that your Personal Data or other information will always remain secure.

 

Visiting the Service from outside the United States.  If you are accessing the Service from outside the United States, please understand that our servers are located in the United States.  Our Privacy Policy and the storage, use and disclosure of your information under our Privacy Policy, is governed by the laws of the United States.  You expressly waive the application of any laws of any territory other than the United States.  The data protection and other laws of the United States might not be as comprehensive as those in other countries.  By using the Service, you understand and agree that your information may be transferred to our facilities and those third parties with whom we share it as described in our Privacy Policy, and the laws of the United States apply to the use, storage and disclosure of your information.

 

Opt Out from Electronic Communications.       

 

●        Where it is in accordance with your marketing preferences, we or our customers, vendors, partners and other third parties may send you electronic communications marketing or advertising the Service events, promotions or products.  You can “opt out” of receiving future electronic communications from us and from having us to provide your information to our customers, vendors and partners for such marketing purposes, by emailing contact@compdpromo.com, however once your Personal Data has been provided to an Associated Party, you will need to contact them directly to manage future communications as we do not control their use.

 

●        It may take up to forty-eight (48) hours for use to process an “opt out” request.  Even after you opt out of all electronic communications, we will retain your Personal Data in accordance with this Privacy Policy, however, we will no longer use it to contact you.  However, Associated Parties and other third parties who have received your Personal Data in accordance with this Privacy Policy may still use that Personal Data to contact you in accordance with their own privacy policies, but they may not use the Service to do so.

 

Changes to our Privacy Policy.  *compd reserves the right to amend its Privacy Policy and the Terms and Conditions at its sole discretion and any modifications shall be effective immediately upon posting.  When we revise the Privacy Policy or the Terms and Conditions, we will post the new Privacy Policy on the Service with the “Last Updated” legend at the beginning of the Terms and Conditions and the beginning of our Privacy Policy.  It is incumbent upon you to regularly check the Terms and Conditions and our Privacy Policy for updates.  By continuing to use the Service following such changes, you will be deemed to have agreed to such changes. If you do not agree with the terms of our Privacy Policy or the Terms and Conditions or any changes, you may not continue to use the Service.
